California Vacation Day 1

Saturday morning Aunt Karen came to our house to take us to the airport (thank you Aunt Karen) to start our fabulous California Vacation! We flew (didn't really want to spend 11-12 hours in a car with an almost 2-year old when we could do it in 1 1/2 hours) and Brooklyn slept almost the entire flight. After arriving in Cali we picked up our rental car (not a fan of Avis as the wait was almost 45 minutest to pick up a car), picked up Brooklyn's rental port-a-crib, ate lunch at CiCi's Pizza (we've seen the commercials for years now and wanted to try it out, we loved it), and then checked into our hotel. After relaxing for a while we thought we'd try out the swimming pool and see how Brooklyn did in a "real" swimming pool. She didn't do well. She cried, and cried, and then when we got her out of the pool, she proceeded to throw-up. After cleaning up, watching Elmo and watching Mommy and Daddy take turns swimming in the pool, Brooklyn braved the water again. By the end our swimming she was having a blast getting in and out of the pool by the stairs and even going a little further into the pool with Daddy after watching some other kids enjoy swimming.

Sitting on bed in hotel.

Ready to go swimming!

Before the first time in the pool.

After throwing-up, watching Elmo to calm down.

Braving the pool again and LOVING it!

Splashing in the pool. Now a pro at the big pool.

I love her swim suit. She just keeps getting cuter, and cuter!
