Sorry I haven't been updating this site as much as I should, I honestly have a hard time finding fun things to write about. Boring things I've got tons of, fun and exciting things, not so much.
Well for a quick update on the latest in our lives:
We went to Mesquite last weekend to see one of my little brothers, Marc, get married. It was fun to get to see almost all of my family over the weekend. Mom and the fam came out from Virginia. My aunt and uncle and their fam were there from Texas. My brother Nate and his fam came up from Arizona. Not to mention the cousins and Johnny and myself who live in Utah who braved the weather and went also.
Not only did we have a wedding, lunch and reception on Friday...we also had a nice big family BBQ on Saturday so we could actually spend time with everyone and do a little catching up, (thanks Shanae and Ammon!!). For those of you who don't know, Shanae is my cousin (Ammon her hubby) and she's having a baby too! She's due a little over a month before we are, and she's having a boy.
Shanae having a boy brings me to the "curses" that are following our families around. The curse for the Yee's is having girls (at least having girls first). The curse of my family is boys. I had seven brothers before I got a sister, and out of 10 nieces and nephews on my side...we have one niece and 9 nephews. It was hoped that we would have twins so we could break both curses, however that is HIGHLY unlikely (we should know for sure this coming Monday) so it is only one curse that will be broken.
We have been told that there are some things that we can do when we are about 6 months along to help us after the baby is born. We were told that if you read the same book over and over to the baby that reading that book to them after they are born calms them down. Same as playing the same song over and over again. We were also told that you can "train" your baby to sleep at night before they are born. We're still learning more about that one so we can try it out.
Guess that's about all for the latest and greatest in our lives. Hope all goes well with everyone else out there in bloggerland.
