Big Sister of an Angel

Brooklyn has been talking a lot about her baby brother, Lucas.  She blows kisses and hugs to him every night before going to bed, when she finds any pennies, or other coins outside she says, “look, Lucas threw me some money from heaven”, she sleeps with her “baby Lucas” doll every night.  I thought I would let her see how big Lucas was when he was born.  I pulled out her baby book with her foot print when she was born, and showed her his hand and feet molds in comparison.  We also pulled her Baby Lucas doll into the room to see how big the dolls feet and hands were compared to Lucas’s, it was amazing how close in size they were.  It made me wonder about the actual size of the doll in comparison.  Lucas was 12”, doll 12 1/2”.  Lucas was 1.5 lbs, the doll was .75 lbs.

On our trip to California last week (post to come this weekend) Brooklyn was asking which cloud Lucas was on watching us drive, keeping us safe.  He was on a pirate ship cloud, a boot, and a dinosaur.  This little girl of mine is an absolutely amazing big sister.
