This year for Thanksgiving we went to Aunt Karen and Uncle Mike’s house. We didn’t take a lot of pictures so I’ll actually have to write about our day. Our family was in charge of the turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, rolls and we also took a couple of pies. We cooked the rolls the day before…only they got a little out of hand as we left the house and they got to raise for the maximum amount of time they are supposed to. We also were making “butt rolls” which for the Yees means putting two Rhodes Rolls in each muffin spot. here are our rolls.

These things were enormous! You could barely squeeze 4 or 5 in a gallon size Ziploc bag. They were very tasty though.
At our dinner this year we had Gning-Gning, Karen & Mike, Tommy, Elaine and Josie, the three of us and Auntie Sitara. While the rest of the food was cooking there was plenty to entertain a couple of toddlers. Coloring with chalk outside, the park, books, toys, the works. Brooklyn had some fabulous pink and blue chalk eye shadow, but I never did get a picture of it. We had an enormous amount of food for just the 10 of us. Johnny tried his hand at frying a turkey this year.
It turned out very tasty. So we had 20 lbs. of turkey, about the same of ham, and then there were the sides…mashed potatoes and cheesy potatoes, rice, little smokies, rolls, relish tray stuff, cranberry sauce, stuffing and I’m sure I’m missing a bunch of other stuff. It was very tasty! When we finally had a enough room for a few bites of pie we pulled out the pumpkin, lemon and chocolate and filled ourselves back up again. So yummy. Thanks Aunt Karen and Uncle Mike for hosting us this year, we had a fabulous time!
